Queer Art Club and Queer Art Camp
Queer Art Club
Wednesdays, 6:00pm-8:00pm
In-person at Sonoma Community Center
Every third Wednesday of the month we partner with Sonoma Community Center to provide a safe and inclusive space for youth (ages 10-17) to find their artistic voice through self-expression. Each month a local guest artist guides youth through an art activity such as ceramics, animation, textiles, printing, and more. All materials and food are provided!
Queer Art Camp
July | In-person at Sonoma Community Center
In this two-week summer day camp, students will explore themes that matter to them through a variety of unconventional art forms led by Bay Area artists. Students will also learn how art can be used as an outlet to communicate issues important to them. This program lasts a total of two weeks. Youth are welcome to attend one or both weeks of Queer Art Camp.
Hangouts are every first Monday of the month from 6-8pm at the PI Community Center, unless shared otherwise. The space welcomes all those who identify as QTBIPOC*.
*QTBIOC = Queer and Transgender, Black, Indigenous, People of Color
